Science Museum

We had fun at the science Museum today with some friends!

We took in an electricity show and the kids got to try out the static ball.

The museum was all hands on experiments so the kids could see and learn about Energy, Plasma and gases and try out many things such as flexibility and balance.

We have officially started homeschooling and had our first field trip today to the science museum. We lucked out being the only people there and have many helpers showing us around. They also put on a show for the kids and everyone got to get up and try the electricity ball! We look forward to these Thursdays and enjoy getting together with a few other families. I didn't get a picture of everyone, but there were 9 kids and 4 adults, a nice group! Jessie

Aegean Sea

We spent half the day enjoying the pools at the hotel and the waters of the Aegean Sea. The sands were soft and full of golden glitter and the water was warm and so enjoyable! Here is a rare picture of Bryan and I...Maddie is our budding photographer...we were commenting on the fact that this Sept we will have been married 10 years and we couldnt be happier! Jessie

Pamukkale

We stopped in Pamukkale on our way to Ephesus...the mountain is covered in white and we teased Ella we were going to play in the snow...the waters contain calcium hydro carbonate and are supposed to have healthy healing qualities. People have been visiting Pamukkale for their health since Ancient Times. One of the legends is that a young but ugly unmarried girl decided to die as no one wanted to marry her. She threw herself off the Travertines of Pamukkale and fell into a pool but did not die. She became very beautiful because of the waters and soon she married the son of the Lord of Denizli....Jessie

Antalya Trip

Antalya was wonderful! We took the scenic route there and here is a picture of us on top of a mountain! We were right on the Med Sea and it was so beautiful. We stayed at a resort that had pools with water slides and a path to the beach with food and drink all day long...with the 80 degree weather and all the sunshine you could ask for, we had a blast and hope to go back this summer! Thanks for taking the time to look over ALL the pictures. Drop me a line so we can catch up! Jessie

Cappadicia

Cappadocia was a blast! We headed there in May and were able to have a guide at the open air museum and then head to a nearby town for a camel ride! A volcano erupted many years ago and because of the wind and water erosion....they have what they call Fairy Chimneys, it was amazing to see all those little peaks everywhere!
They also have underground cities and we were able to go in one, very cool! We stayed in a cave hotel, it had a working bathroom and lights it was just inside a cave! Hope all is well! Jessie ps the vonage is up and working so give us a call!

Istanbul Trip

Ferry Ride Haghia Sophia

Grand Bazaare

Hey there! Our computer is back up working and downloading pictures so I wanted to catch up with our trips. Bryan and I went to Istanbul no kids, yes I said it, in April and it was great....we took a train and then a ferry and had a day from 8-10pm to explore. The Grand Bazaare was fun haggling over prices and the Mosque was so beautiful! Jessie
